Lessons learned or http://www.amishrakefight.org/gfy/

I left San Diego Ca. on May 24, 2010 and arrived in Everett Wa. on the same day. I was filled with a slight trepidation upon arrival because I didn't know what to expect. How smooth would our job go? Would working in a small group (five of us) translate into a successful team? Would my past acrimonious relationship with TM affect the whole team and could we put it behind us? Would I be given the opportunity to speak my mind and make suggestions that were listened to or would I be blown off?...

Here are the answers...Excellent, Yes, No, we got along smoothly on the job, Yes, I was asked for my input and it wasn't just listened to it was put into action when appropriate.

These past few months have not been the smoothest but I have persevered. I spent 7+ weeks in Yokosuka, Japan, 22 days home and 7 weeks in Everett...I'm just tired.

What have I learned? That sometimes I have a very difficult time keeping my mouth shut, that I can't tolerate people lying about me, that I CANNOT STAND office politics...

That I can accomplish difficult tasks when given the right tools, that leading by example is still the best way to motivate those around me, that contrary to some peoples opinions about me I am worthy of being part of the conversation, the project and the team...

For those who refuse to give me those chances see this website http://www.amishrakefight.org/gfy/

Home tomorrow!...
