I had never been so cold in all of my life. Slowly I turned around and She looked me in the eye. I felt trapped, unable to so much as breath.

"So my lad. How goes your petty War?. Have you found your precious Master yet." Pausing, She regarded me critically. "You do understand that when this is over I am going to kill you don't you? You've been an amusing opponent but this will end badly for you."

I struggled for breath, realizing I was chocking.

"You can breath now", she said, smiling sweetly.

I gasped audibly as the thick, dense air rushed into my lungs. Breathing easily after a moment I gazed at her sharply. "I thought you were going to kill me."

"Not quiet yet bastard."

It was a gruff voice tinged with more fear then anger. Dabbil Chalmys. I turned slowly toward him and strengthened my gaze. He stood a hand shy of six feet tall. Whipcord slim he had an unassuming air about him that had cost many people their lives.

"The next time we're alone I'm going to kill you Chalmys, you do understand that right? I really hope you do. You see, you came at me like a little man. You used threats, intimidation, lies, murder, extortion to get what you wanted. I really didn't care until you came at my Teacher. You shouldn't have done that Dabbil. You have made one too many enemies, and they all support me."

His face got paler the longer I spoke. For the first time in his life I think he was speechless.

Before things got out of hand, She spoke up.

"Dabbil, we spoke about this already. And as for you...I like you. I think you can stay for awhile. Your much too smart to be just my plaything. What do you have to offer me? Don't say it! Let me guess. Hmmm...I got it. You can be my teacher."Putting her hand on my waist lovingly she whispered, "and you can also me my Muse..."
